Hospital and community health services offer excellent rehabilitation programs for people with established cardiac or pulmonary diseases. They are, however, time limited. They are also not scheduled to suit working people.
Studies show that people who continue regular exercise are more likely to maintain the improvements gained from cardiac or pulmonary rehabilitation.
Next Step Physio offers regular supervised exercise for people with established cardiac or respiratory disease, and those who identify as being at risk of declining cardiac or respiratory health. We endeavour to offer our programs outside of work hours where sufficient demand exists.
The physiotherapist instructors have experience working with cardiac and respiratory clients in the hospital and community settings, and are able to guide individual clients to exercise at an intensity that is suitable for them, in accordance with guidelines published by the Lung Foundation Australia and National Heart Foundation.
